I created this T-shirt for the Hunger Games Character Peeta Mellark, also known as the boy with the Bread. Katniss is certainly the lead in the Hunger Games Book; however, Peeta is certainly the secondary hero, and just as important to the story line as Katniss.
Peeta's strongest attribute is charity. Once when Peeta and Katniss were both younger, right after Katniss' father had died, Katniss and her family had nothing to eat. Katniss was just about ready to give up hope. Yet as fortune would have it, Peeta had burnt a few loaves of bread.
Peeta's angry mother had commanded him to through the useless loaves to the pigs. Peeta went to do so, but when he saw Katniss he had compassion and quickly decided to toss her the bread instead. Thus restoring hope to Katniss.
I designed this shirt as a representation of Peeta. Strong, yet full of hope and love for Katniss.
